It's getting rather silly now. Surely this has broken some kind of record or my memory of being a BFC fan over the last 35 years has gone tits up
Was talking about this last night. More impressive than our start to the PL promotion year? Very different scenarios obviously, but given our position after the Blackburn game, I would argue it might be. The total disillusionment of fans, the manager debacle and rock bottom. For me, that puts it slightly ahead..
We still have a few wins to go to break the record. We won 10 in a row during our title winning season (Division Three North that is!) in 1954-55.
We were talking about it last night, of course we will lose at some point, all I ask is that it isn't against a side near the bottom (i.e. next 2 games), preferably it ends against one of the clubs near the top and we can say there's no disgrace in that and move on. What was good last night was at half time I really feared we would lose, I didn't think it was going for us and said now we see what Flitcroft has, if he can turn it round with his half time team talk, and it certainly worked, we looked a different team from the off. Then as I was thinking we'd started 2nd half like Wolves started the 1st but we needed to capitalise on it the same way they did, we equalised. Apparently the last time we won 6 in a row was 1980/81 in the middle of a 20 match unbeaten run that ended at Huddersfield - I'll take this unbeaten run ending the same way!
Yeah me too, I'd take remaining unbeaten until Huddersfield away. Oh and we'd be in a cup final at Wembley too, so probs resting players for the final.
Its not being unbeaten that matters, its points and wins that are going to count . That 50 point mark might have to be revised could need 50+
