Is that the same logic that said we would not equalise away at sarfend
said we would not win another game this season
Just wondered like WITBAIRNINNEGATIVEBarstewardHEEADON

I think we'll have to Otherwise we'll look very silly sacking Andy Ritchie for not signing Dwayne Mattis.
It dosn't matter who we sign in some eyes the club can't do no right. If we go for young premiership players their not experianced enough,if we go for experiance they're deemed too old for us and if we go for league one talent like most teams in our division do they're not good enough.
The longer we leave it, the more likely we are to panic buying, if no signings this Thursday then none at all methinks.
I think the key is that quality takes time to come through usually Brian Howard was signed from a lower division team (one that had recently been relegated moreover) and yet he's one of our best players. When McPhail was here Howard wasn't always first choice.
Whilst a lot of people don't like it, we have to be patient with signings, like Mattis, because they can't all scorea hatrick on their first match. Some people are so quick to judge.
Sometimes we can be too patient mind- McParland for a start.

Yes, 3 or 4 I would say. We're always getting offered loads of good players and now we're not turning them down there should be no probs.
In Gord We Trust.

Aye. The signings of Mattis, McCann & Knight look to be real masterstrokes. They wouldn't get into the Longbow U11 team that Coachman trains. It seems to be a simple choice at Oakwell: (1) Don't sign rubbish & try to keep a close knit squad together ... then get the sack at the first sign of trouble or (2) Sign crap lower league players, sell our more talented performers & lose the team spirit we once had ... and get 100% support due to fancy graphs
Stand corrected They went down last season. Doesn't make much difference to the point though- he's steadily improved after signing from a league One team and is now a goodChampionship player.
