I still think it's time to say thanks to Simon Davey and cut him loose over the summer. Otherwise he'll be gone by Xmas like the other turkeys we have had in the hotseat..
We need a proven manager on board then we can compete at this level and maybe hit the hallowed heights of the Premiership again - one day.
    Thank You Simon but Goodbye

    A proven manager like who?

    Alex Ferguson?

Davie's done a great job on the cheap, he's gone some way to becoming a proven manager in my book.

    Micky Adams.

We only stayed up today because of other results NOT because of the poor performance today in front of prospective fans whom we had the chance to influence today, we need a passionate proven manager with respect in the game not a trainee who has succeeded by luck and foresight,
I certainly will not renew my season ticket next season if Davey is still there but i will pay on the gate at selected games.
Barnsley fans desrve more from this jumped up board at BFC and GS should realise that it is not his wisdom in selecting Davey but more of other teams slipping up and Helping BFC in staying up,

    And there was me thinking

that the effort in putting ourselves in a position whereby with 2 games remaining we were 5 points clear and therefore any slip from teams behind us would benefit us was down to us!

RE: And there was me thinking

I thank the team for what they acheived, i predicted with AR we would finish 4th or 5th from bottom, i am as plaesed as everyone we have "escaped" but never the less Davey should not be in Charge next season or trusted with Funds to improve the squad because Martin Wikinson and GS will have the Biggest say as to who is bought and Davey will just agree.
After "the great escape" do you think The Barnsley fans will accept the same struggle and position next seaso?? i think not, It will be the same scenario next season when by X mas with us struggling GS will sack Davey and appoint the groundsman as manager , and so the cycle goes on.

Are you a wind up merchant ?

if not I'll tell you what we'll we'll appoint a name....it would be a WISE move... or Mike Newell eh... FFS I am a big fan of Andy Ritchie but even I take my hat off to SD. Oh and as for the premiership...pfffff it took us 110 years last time and as for going there again ...get real...that's one thing AR was bang on about unless we have a very lucky season.</p>

Hope you dont renew your season ticket

We want real fans, who support the team, appreciate the efforts of the team, not idiots like you that hope we arent sucessful because you dont like the manager. I was disgusted when davey got the job but i now thank (and apologise to) him for saving us.

Go and support a team that wants 'fans' like you, hmm, LEEDS WILL DO. They deserve people like you supporting the team, thugs and scum of the earth, now support the manager and what he has done or go elsewhere.
