Our new owners will have enough Football Savvy to realise that whilst not "going mad" in January, they will need to make some fresh investment to give Hecky something to work with or they've just bought a League One Team which they'll find very hard to market in the Far East!

Confident he'll get the necessary backing to bring new players in. Article on Football World advocating
that Gardner and Ugbo need to return to their parent Clubs to accommodate new signings because up
to now they've not really proved their worth with us. Be very interesting to see who is going to be brought in.
How many points do we feel we need to get to avoid the drop this season.? If we get to fifty two we should be
OK. Can we get thirty one points from our remaining twenty three games is the big question.?

Stabilise in the championship were the words used. To me that means buying players equipped to enable us to stay up this year.

No teenage loans, no lower league players.

Bristol managed it last year, and look at them now.

It's all a bit confusing. Conway told us in the press conference that we wouldn't be going mad - ok, we didn't expect it, but we do expect an improvement or tweak on our current policy of recruitment.

Then Heckys quoted as saying "we only spend what we spend" , which could mean anything, but the worse case scenario would be to interpret it as "we're going to carry on as we are".

I think we're all agreed that just continuing along the same route has a good chance of ending in tears, and probably Hecky losing his job.

I can't see these guys coming in and buying the club without making changes. The club might well be well run and debt free, but on the pitch (which is what everyone sees) it's ailing, and has been for the best part of a year.

A good January will have a positive effect on the remainder of the season and that will be reflected in ticket sales for next season.

My guess is that they will chuck a bit more at the window, either that or they're from Mars.

We need to recruit players who are upto keeping us in the championship and hopefully be part of a team that can capably compete in the mid to upper part of the table next season in my opinion.

I can't see any problem with buying young players to turn into championship players but just buying that sort of player is making it very hard to compete. We need to look at putting a team together of youth and experience which doesn't mean signing journeymen to complement what we have it means looking at players mid to late 20s who have played at this level and understand what it takes to compete.

im not sure who's available that would fit that criteria but if we continue the way we are I can't see us getting 20 more points this season never mind 31.

My lad was looking yesterday. Think he said we had won 10 from 46 games this calendar year.

I don't get the people saying we will carry on as we are in signing youngsters.... We're really struggling at the minute and I'm sure hecky has explained what we need so I'm hoping we have some money to spend in January that isn't just on kids.

It's not good business for the new owners if 6 months after taking over they are looking at league 1 and a reported 6 million shortfall from what we have now.

I'm not one asking for us to be following in wolves footsteps but we do need some investment in the playing squad at a higher level than we have seen recently. FFP will have some baring on what we can do no doubt but after the last few seasons income from transfers I'm sure we have a bit of breathing space to do a bit.

The new investors might already have a few new revenue streams lined up to help with recruitment and getting round FFP. There are possibilities of sponsorship from the companies the consortium are associated with and tv money from China that I'm sure we will be looking to get exposure on.

On current form we won't get anymore points if we don't have a major change in form I can't see where any points are coming from....not long ago we usd to go to a game and have a bet on the goal scorer and could be quite confident on at least 1 of half a dozen players could score....under Basset we were scoring from everywhere even Nicky Eaden scored 11 goals from defence........ahh the good old days
