RE: Close to town centre or is outskirts ok? nt Town centre walking distance from train station - are there hotels left in tarn can't really think of any off hand?
Yep it's not bad in there Lots of cosy little alcoves for discrete conversations, good carvery for those intent on putting on loads of weight, and loads of kids running/crawling around under your feet just waiting to have hot soup spilled on them. Never the been in the actual hotel bit maybe I should try it just for one night.
Plus Tankersley Manor is nice, if a bit pricey As far as I can work out it's about half way between Tarn and Grenoside but not too convenient for a train station if you need to make a quick getaway
Just one pint? I reckon tha'l keep coming back for another, and another, and another, and another, and another, and another, and another, and another, and another, and another, and another, and another, and another, and another, and another, and another, and another, and another, and another, and another, and another, and another, and another, and another, and another, and another, and another, and another, and another, and another, and another, and another until I'm skint, then tha'll spill the beans anyway
I'm puzzled! You asked to hotel recommendations and end up giving them! Close to town centre - could try the Keel Inn down near Asda
Aye got a bit distracted Just wondered what happened to places like Queens in town - from memory can't really think of any hotels in the centre all bars now. If you pull in tarn and need a room quickly, where do you go?
Don't think the younger generation bother about rooms, in fact, from some of the discussions we've had in Sex Education at school they don't think full stop!
Well at my age one likes one's creature comforts... Anyway glad you're here it was mostly my fault you've been away anyway. Now tell me more about these sex education lessons...... you never know I might need some info any day now.
To be honest If I was gonna get a hotel in the Barnsley area I'd prefer to be somewhere "away from it all" - in the countryside. I think there's a pub at Dunford Bridge. A bit remote & secluded though. Possibly haunted. (dunno)
I don't think he needs any encouragement Hi Laura, hope you're better. Had a brilliant idea for you earlier at work - I'll PM you later once I've got the kids to bed.
