I've seen a lot of posts saying how brilliant he was last night. And granted in extra time he was moved into the middle and put in an excellent and hard working 15 minutes. Were all the raving reviews about him based on extra time when he was running like a madman, challenging and chasing and hitting shots all over the place? Prior to that out on the left wing I don't recall him doing much at all. Interested to hear whether others were referring to extra time or whether they thought he was getting involved a lot in normal time too.

I've watched the full game back today. Brilliant bordering on very very good for me.

Don't take this the wrong way but in what way was he brilliant? As in what was his involvement in general play? I haven't watched the game back yet but I don't recall much at all from him

He played very well and put himself about much more than usual.
But I've a feeling if a rather large bid arrives for him we will be saying bye bye to him.

    One word - tackling.

He doesn't normally do that. Last night he did

He worked very hard for the whole game and in the 2nd half of extra time when I expected him to disappear, he took control of the game from a central position. LJ will have been very pleased with his contribution that's for sure.

Put it this way, before I retired to bed last night I put the name Hourihane into a twitter search and there were hundreds of fans of clubs from the Prem and Championship calling him outstanding, asking why he was at a L1 club and saying 'sign him up'. So he must have had a good game. I thought so as well.

Exactly. After about 10 mins, I turned to my daughter and said (jokingly), "As if Hourihane's just won a tackle".
    We chuckled.
Until two mins later he won another and another.
He was really up for it last night. good game.
Shame he couldn't get tighter to Deulofeu, but he played well, and was still charging about in extra time.

Hourihane was as excellent as many of the others.

He is good when he is given time and space.

Hi all round game and tackling were much improved - chasing balls down whereas he didn't look arsed at the start of the season. The last few games have shown massive improvement in my opinion. Hopefully he can do the same on Setdi!

He had a great game for me. However if anyones looking for the negatives and something to support a specific predetermined view, then they will find it. Even if many others don't see it. I saw a great performance, but then again i think he is one of our most technically gifted players who has proven how much he contributes to our results.
