    Either a slow news day or his agent messing about perhaps. I honestly can't see him extending his contract with us and, if he was my lad, I'd advise him to wait until the summer and reap the full financial benefit of being a free agent. The only real argument against doing so is that he might incur a serious enough injury beforehand that might make him regret having waited. Having said that, he is under contract to us for the rest of the season so he can't go if we don't let him.

    At the start of the season, Hecky said that players like Hourihane and Winnall would play this season out - thereby either earning a better new contract with us or a move elsewhere for more dough. Can't see that anything's changed. That report is very similar to those Bristol pillocks who were trying to make out Mawson & Hammill were off there.

    Journalists = ****ers.

    Seems to be a strange story to publish in a Birmingham newspaper. They call him a one-time Villa target to start the piece with and then end it by saying that Villa won't be submitting a bid. In other news the Barnsley Chronicle report that the Reds have no plans to submit a bid for Lionel Messi.
