How much sunshine does the back garden get?

I guess its OK in high summer with the sun almost overhead and not too bad on an evening for the late sunshine from the west in autumn / spring?

Ours is a north facing garden too and not overlooked on t'other 3 sides - although its a bungalow - and we have plenty of sun in at least 90% of it, from April through to October (depending ont weather like). Only from about now (mid November to late February is there be a lot of shade, but even then the sun, when shining, reaches most of the garden at some point during the day.

Not had a problem with growing plants or veg, in fact much prefer this aspect for growing. One of the best bits is that there is always somewhere to sit, in summer, that is shady.

Two small downsides - the grassed area nearest the house tends to be 'mossy', probably due to a lot of shade in winter; the paving at the side of the bungalow (on north side) sees a build up of algae in winter. Neither is a major problem.

Suppose a lot depends on what you think of the existing garden though.
