It isn't about them

With the players we have now playing on form any team would look bad against us.

We should praise our own lads when they deserve it, not start saying the other team was bad. If you look at the league table you will see that West Brom are the best side in the league.

I agree with you there Stahlschwanz to mention the quality of West Brom does not acknowledge fully, the excellent performance by the reds.

We didn't allow WBA to play

It's easy for Mowbray to come and say his players were bad, but at the end of the day we took the game to them and when a team is forced to chase a game they always look a bit ragged....

West Brom forced ten corners and it was us who defended them brilliantly - normally with a clearing header from Nyatanga who was excellent yesterday

It's just frustrating that we only seem to play at our best when we are playing the top sides...8 goals at home against the top 3 sides aint bad.

    I thought we were superb

However, if we start to denegrate the opposition's display, then that also has an adverse effect on our own performance. After all, if the opposition are poor, then it wouldn't take any effort on our part to beat them.
WBA ARE a very good team and it took a brilliant display from Barnsley to make them appear to be less than impressive.

I reckon a bit of both

I thought we played very well yesterday in all departments but I have to agree West Brom werent the same team that I saw earlier in the season at theirs.

Was also good to see Tony Warner play so well after last week at Cov.

I don't think West Brom were a bad side at all. The goal they scored was very well worked.

To quote one West Brom Fan "they ( Barnsley) played us of the park". I'm not going to argue with that.

Da Silva was a joy to watch. In fact all the team were.

An all round good team performance.

If he had scored then we could have seen a rout.

I was astonished at the West Brom defending...

... in that instance in that they didn't leave anyone on the half way line to counter that kind of breakaway. Thought nads had scored, still he's now notched and I think (hope) it's the first of many. Macken wasgreat as well... in fact I'd struggle to criticise any of our players yesterday.

He's now equalised the scoring record of Mostto and the "one for the future at 26" Kayode Odejayi

but according to some, he's lazy, can't be arsed, unfit and he had the cheek to leave us. The fact that everytime he gets the ball the crowd get to their feet an anticipation as there's a good chance that he will score will not convince some people that he is a quality striker. If I had to bet all I owned on Nardiello scoring say eight goals before the end of the season or the rest of the strikers excluding Macken getting eight in total I know where my money would be.

Oh always offside ? sometimes yes, sometimes poor linesmen's decisions, occasionally poor timing of release of the ball by midfielder, I'll take all the offsides as I know that there'll be one opportunity where the flag will stay down and that's more than likely going to result in a goal.

Oh also, yes he does run like a girl, but I don't care !!
