It'll end up being one stand sized board all way round with pre recorded crowd noise soon

Need as much advertising as possible to pay their legal teams who are defending their charges

I thought the same at the weekend.
I mean why take £50 a ticket off 1000 actual fans when you can make the same amount, per half, off multiple sponsors?

It's a bit of an optical illusion. The boards are in fact 2 rows of boards synchronised to operate together. The angle of the TV cameras make them look much bigger than they are.

They did lose 1100 seats though when they were installed.

Agreed. Clubs would make well more cash by covering an entire lower tier with advertisements over the seats. They would save cash on stewarding and policing. To make up for the lack of noise they will pipe some in artificially like Cricket had with the "Lords buzz" on Sky for Cricket in the early pandemic.

That's neat. I always like the advertising on cricket fields, where you can't see it at all if you're in the ground but it works perfectly for the cameras.

1100 seats sounds a lot, but to be fair it's less than we lose for the state of the west stand, and I doubt there's anybody up for sponsoring that.

I think The Prem, Sky, BT/TNT are getting ready for when betting advertising is banned and their major source of income evaporates.
