Presumably MSN uses an IP address but I can't seem to find out what it is. I want to disable access to MSN messenger during homework time, driving me mad. I found out how to block access to specific IP addresses from my router, but what is the IP address for MSN? I may be talking ****** here, apologies if so, any help appreciated.

Can you not just un-install it?

I don't mind them using it at certain times but I want it off limits during homework.

    Alternative and easy solution

Set Messanger to "appear offline" - just change the "my status"

Then no one can contact you - turn it on when you are availlable for chat again. You can even set it to log you on as offline then all you need to do is change status to online when you want to chat

I don't think he's worried about people contact him while he does his homework!

I think he wants to stop the kids using it instead of doing homework...

    I worry about Farnham sometimes.
Every time he has a shave it's nearly always followed by a generous helping of synaptic misfires.
