and in the same breath seriously discuss banning people? It just doesn't fit.

If this is a truly free community then anybody should be allowed to join in, in whatever way they choose - whether a Wormtongue or not.

If people want to go off chucking teddies out of prams because theydon't like what they're reading, who does that reflect badly on? Ifthey're that sad, I say let them get on with it, poor things.

They're only affecting the rest of us - and the tone of this board -because we're allowing them to. Ignore 'em, forget they're here and letthem have their tantrums if that's what turns them on.

    Thing is mate................

......freedom of speech doesn't come into it because he's not posting. He's just sneaking about looking for things to report so anything that hinders him is a bonus.

    RE: Thing is mate................

What exactly has he reported so far then?
OK, I read neutrino's post about why he got sacked, and yes, I think Rob Knowles went a little over the top when he did that thing.
But what neutrino did was also wrong... of course I don't mind at all that he posted those and don't think it was a serious crime or anything, but then again Rob Knowles probably didn't know that neutrino would get sacked either.

Anyway... Do you really think that banning Rob Knowles would change anything?! (chinny)

    "a little over the top"

    Yeah, that's what it was.

RE: "a little over the top"

OK, possibly way over the top (although I don't know the reasons) but that's not the point here.
Some of you are hiding something, or at least pretending so, you say that if I knew the "truth" my opinion on this would be different. Perhaps you really know something, I have no idea, but if you're not willing to tell us anything, I really couldn't care less whether Rob Knowles is lurking on this board or not.
Anyway, what do we achieve if we ban Rob Knowles? Come on, don't be daft.
Do you really think that he couldn't find another way to read the messages here?

You would not believe it as the club can do no wrong in your eyes.

It's bigger than the footballing side...

No, I don't think we could ban him

And as I said earlier, if he contributed in any way at all to this community he would be more than welcome in my view.

But getting him banned wasn't the point. It was never going to happen even if everyone agreed with my proposition. For one thing it couldn't be policed and for another I don't think site admin would have done it anyway. Not everyone did agree, not by a long way, but what did happen was that people woke up a bit and we had a debate about what people think about this forum being monitored by an employee at BFC who is unwilling to contribute. In my opinion that is a very worthy topic and judging by the amount of threads and messages on the subject a lot of others, including yourself, think it is a worthy topic too.

Heh, I just hope you don't do this any more often - we've had enough drama on this board for at least a month now!
I don't think that Rob should be banned, and I don't mind if he's lurking here and watching us, why should I? And if there's something that he could "report", then it shouldn't have been posted in the first place!

    That might sound fine...

but who knows what he wants to report? Who knows what he is looking for?

This is starting to sound too much like X-Files already! :S
I don't think that the club or Rob Knowles are keeping records of dissidents on this board...

We've only heard the other side of the story now, and I don't think that Rob Knowles will tell his version of it any time soon, which is a shame because I'd like to know what's really going on.

    Okay..

There's a lot gone off recently in private

    Agreed

Some recent events/actions have shocked, if not, disgusted me.

The rose tinted glasses went a while ago.

    RE: Agreed

Blantyre-Red suggested that I, Jay, am a workshy ******. I would like to put the record straight. I am not a 'workshy ******' as was claimed, I am actually a work-shy ******, so get your facts straight.

    Nope

For reasons I'm not going to blurt out on here I'm delaying my first game of the season.

But, the club disappointed me recently with comments made and let's just say "Everything is not so fine at BFC"
