They have about 11k season ticket holders They were selling them for about £130 Interestingly, having spoken to a Bradford fan at work, they also get approx the same number of "pay on the day" punters as they used to rather than increased season ticket holder numbers absorbing that.
Was a bold gamble by BCFC in my opinion. Living in Bradford, I know a lot of fans. They aren't happy at being in the bottom league, they aren't too happy with their start to the season, but at the end of the day it is a cheap day out and has got a lot of folk interested again. Its like it was when I started following the Reds, when going to footie didn't make a massive dent in your finances. Good luck to em I say.
Putting The Prices Down......... was a great bit of business. With the extra people coming through the gate, they are probably making more money anyway and more importantly they are getting people back to the ground. Better than thousands of empty seats.
They have a massive club shop. More like a supermarket. Only seen bigger at Old Trafford and Nou Camp.
Last year they closed part of it off and laid staff off. They have re-opened part this year and taken a couple of staff back on on match days. So the merchandise thing is working.

Because they're an imaginitive forward thinking club the only one in the entire league.
They had the guts to slash their prices and the response has meant the gamble has paid off in spades.
Will other clubs learn from it? Not this side of hell freezing over.

RE: Because they're an imaginitive forward thinking club the gamble has paid off? football is judged on league position. end of
RE: Because they're an imaginitive forward thinking club We're not talking about points, or league positions. We're talking about bums on seats.
The gamble has paid off financially. And they're playing in front of crowds that others in that league can only dream about.
