"Wilson; Stupidity from Jennings. Grabbed their player by the throat and given the ref no choice. It's cost us the game." And on the official site: ""He raised his hands. Was it violent? It's not violent at all. He's reacted to a very bad foul on himself. "It was a very, very harsh decision. I have to say it was quite soft. It wasn't a violent incident. "We've been dealt that blow. It's cost us the game."
If he's raised his hands and reacted, then he risks getting sent off - and it came to pass, he gave the ref the option and the ref took it. He should not have reacted and I seem to be the only one who was not surprised when the card was red.
I'm with you mate, thought it would be red before the ref walked over. He raised his hands and shoved him very strongly. From the line of sight I had which was behind the ref, I'm not surprised by the decision.
