As a fella who left tarn some 20+ years ago for deepest East Anglia, I was disappointed today to read that local side, Peterborough Utd, have pinch our 'Just like Watching brazil' catchphrase. http://www.peterboroughtoday.co.uk/poshreports/Super-Posh-turn-in-a.3646084.jp I can't say I'm too happy about it either becasue if you see these clowns play, it's not even like watching the Faroe Islands let alone Brazil. Having said that, it was a great result and by all accounts POSH made Colchester look very poor indeed. My only hope is that we get them in the next round so we can show them what a team that plays like Brazil really looks like. Then again, if you've ever been to peterborough, perhaps not!
Ture but not many people know or want to know where Pterborough is. Deepest East Angla is an adequate for most.
Where abouts do you live? I went to school 15-20 minutes away from Peterborough. I hate this part of the country though, Northamptonshire has to be one of the worst counties about, and Cambridgeshire isn't much better!
Now I'm jealous of an Anorak and I never thought I'd say that! I live on the outskits of Peterborough inbetween Oundle and Boro. It's nice enough place to look at but god are the people weird. I can walk into a pub at home an be talking with a total stranger within minutes. Try that here and they look you up and down like your something they scraped on the bottom of their shoe. I take it your in or went to school in Thrapston?
I went to school in Oundle - my Mum worked at the middle school there. But I live in Thrapston
