no really think about this people... we are totally up '**** Creek' minus a paddle.. Well at least we may in the future do an Altrincham to a league team when we get to the first round in the FA Cup from the conference league..... sorry people but we are heading right down that street... Donny went that way came back... I seriously do not think we will not come back should we fall down into the Conference/National league.... and again I am so sorry.... but right now I am believing that's exactly where we are destined.

Put forward a different solution instead of criticising. We're outside the transfer window. We're restricted with regards to loans so we're having to look at free agents.

I'm really not sure how you can predict from this piece of business we're destined for the Conference with no way back. The Club have limited room for manoeuvre currently and from where I'm standing to offer Adam Hammill a chance to kick start his career once again is a reasonable move. It's a short term deal and if it doesn't work out the January transfer window will be open and we can look for different solutions to put right the plight we're currently in.

It's only two weeks since you were on here having a pop at people who were saying pretty much what you're saying now. They play too much football manager on their play stations apparently. And these were people who've been watching this ***** all season.

3 days ago DT wrote with regard to Colace and Hammill if they are able to both be signed on a free....then why not give them a go on a month by month rolling contract... surely that cannot hurt? 3 days later not only is it hurting it's dooming us to life outside the Football League and I thought I was a doom and gloom merchant. :D

At least they are trying and for our current position I think Hammill is a coup. What would you rather??? Not bother getting anyone in and just go down the leagues so that people like you that only support a team so you can moan when times are bad get your jollies? I also don't really think we will get relegated, a lot of drama queens on here but in this league we just need to find a month or 2 of form which deep down you all know we are capable of and be fine. Personally very excited to see Hammill again always loved him with us and he's been playing a few levels above us until very recently. Enough negativity YOU REDS

It is the last transfer window that put us in the mess we are in now, wheres the magic wand coming from for the next window ? The only logic hope is that we cant possibly sign a less effective batch of players than the last lot.

I wish I could drag up that thread from years ago

... where you said we didn't have a cat in hell's chance of signing Adam Hammill as our own player.

Well that's twice we've done it.

And yes, these are desperate times, with the transfer window closed. Not sure else we can do in the circumstances.
