I must say I'm very surprised at you, mate

I've always thought you were one of the better posters on here, always elucidating your arguments in a well thought out manner. But to adopt an attitude of 'I told you so' after a couple of friendly matches with regards to Alnwick's performances falls well below your usual standard. I thought he had a very good game against WBA last Saturday, but wouldn't dream of using that as being indicative of his standard display. It may take him a while before he begins to show the form that encouraged Spurs to pay a great deal of money to Sunderland for him. It may be that he simply isn't good enough for Championship football. You could well be right, he's an extremely poor goalkeeper and he's not worth the salary we're paying him. Personally, I'm willing to be patient & give him time before judging him one way or the other.
    Opinions and all that.

He looks average to me. Decent shop stopper, decent distribution, poor at crosses and physically in no way intimidating. Reminds me of Colgan.

Sorry, b****cking duly accepted. I had a moment of weakness. Feel free to re-post if/when I'm proved wrong, and I hope I am. I promise not to bring the subject up again.

    You misunderstand me, mate

I always enjoy your posts, even if we're singing from different hymn sheets. In my opinion, I think you can be classed as a Premier League standard poster on here. However, the 'I told you so' attitude is usually only found amongst the WUM'S, the ignorant, the childish and those whose ego and need to be right is far more important to them than success for the club/manager/players and they being wrong. You're none of these. You have higher standards and, in my view, it was sad to see those standards drop a little.
    Just my opinion, mate.

    I'm not in a rush

To judge him one way or the other and am prepared to give him the time to prove his worth.

There seems to be a few luke that Wayne it seems.

He looked good yesterday. Kickings good, Shots at him ok.
Not sure what he could have done with first goal. The goal seemed to have gone through the defenders legs and might even had hit is foot and webt right in corner.

Second goal, hard to tell from away end but it looked like he missed the ball.
