From listening to the radio it seemed as though we were good going forward but a bit suspect in other areas. Too many attacking players in midfield?

    Did we deserve to win?

Poor. But got the job done.

Dread to think it we had been playing west brom or similar. No structure no holding midfielder. Pluses muller, foster, macken, tiniho and leon. Negative def playing bobby hassell in the middle of midfield. Looked lost bless him.

    Yes deserved the win

Playesd pretty well considering Muller had only got 1 leg and we had 3.1 men in midfield and 4.3 in defence. The team protected him quite well.

No disrespect to Bobby Hassell who gave his all, but for me, he'll never be a midfieldeer, defensive or otherwise.

    Dirty win

    Diego - sheer class
Macken - velcro (see other thread)
    Foster - solid
Full backs - a bit dodgy
Hassell - lost but never gave up
Nardiello - not match fit but promising
    Muller - no comment
Howard - better than recently but dived instead of creating a goal
    JCR - off day
Souza - fair but up against a 9ft striker

    Thought Tininho did okay...

But Kozluk must wonder what he has to do to displace Van Homoet.

I'm quite bemused by the criticism aimed at van homo

for tonight. Did well enough, covering for Tinhinho when he got forward.Put a cople of good long passes through and rarely troubled.

Think both fullbacks did well to protect our vulnarable goal.

    He did okay today...

I just think that although Kozzy will probably agree himself that he wasn't himself earlier in the season, that he's more experienced and accustomed at this level and I feel he should probably be playing.

    perhaps

but thought van homo did well enough today to deserve a start.

Before tonight I would have said Kozluk.

    Though Nardiello was ***** BTW.

I agree i can't for the life of me why fans are having a go at our full backs. I thought they both did well tonight. The defence played well, and had to because of the poor display by our central midfield.
