We lost, but we lost to the top of the league away from home by just the one goal. Obviously, we don't want to lose to anyone, but there are some fixtures where even a loss isn't a terrible result. Did we deserve anything from the game, were we unlucky or was it the case of counting ourselves fortunate not to come away with a good hiding?

A lot of people on the way out of the ground and on the coach thought we deserved a point. They aren't a bad team at all. Score a lot of goals and don't let many in.

First half we were superb, played some lovely flowing football with Paddy at the heart of everything. Only criticism is that we didn't create enough clear cut chances and passed up the opportunity to shoot too often.

Second half we were extremely poor. We couldn't string two passes together and I can't really remember us threatening at all. Some of the first touches from our players were a shambles, they literally could not control the ball for the full half. This gave them the impetus to put us under pressure and we conceded from a cracking finish. I wouldn't be too critical of the defence such was the finish. After that we were really poor, summed up by Kennedy getting in a fantastic position unmarked on the left, and instead of drilling the ball across the 6 yard box he chipped it up for Shackell to clear easily.

If I could summarise the game based on what I heard on Player, what you have written is pretty much what I heard from the commentary team. Classic game of 2 halves. A bit unlucky to not earn a point.

Well done for making the trip to a ground where we never come away with anything - not in my experience anyway.

I've seen us win there before, about 3 years ago on Boxing Day.

I'd forgotten that, as obviously I wasn't there. I have been to Turf Moor 6 or 7 times and I don't think I've ever seen us even get a point. It's my jinx ground, that's for sure.

I do not think we were a shambles second half, they had reorganised their tactics which made it more difficult to command midfield. Admitted the turf was greasy with rain and made the ball difficult to control. At the end we had them rocking again. Need that clinical finish

Pretty good definitely the beet team first half tired a little second. A draw would have been a fair result.

we played well first half , lacking that cutting edge to score first tho, second half we dropped deep and was on the back foot when we conceded . deserved a point but if you dont take the chances then you end up getting punished
