Bear in mind we are bottom of the league. Which Manager would relish that situation. On the other hand a new Manager could only improve the situation, this season. He certainly could'nt make things worse. The best time to recruite a replacement would have been end of last season, when we had a full season to look forward to to get the team and new players, to play a new mans way. PC has to bite the bullet and do it now. No good waiting until things get better, because they won't.
Very very difficult Would cause massive disruption Lets hold our nerve and see whats happening by the end of October
RE: Very very difficult if he is still in charge at the end of October we will only attract league one managers as we will more or less be there
well for a start, most teams are near to the bottom when in need of a new manager simply because they get rid of the incubant because they are near the bottom. second, in an ideal world sacking him would have required a basic knowledge of football/guts/being non gullable/and not being taken in by a whose game thoughts are distorted. third, I do not think Cryne had the bottle to do it
Why wait for applications? Draw up a short list using football knowledge and contacts and go and try and get them. Hold on....
What calibre of manager do you think will apply ? Not having a go or anything - but with BFC set up as I think it is at the moment - ie one man owning the club with assistants in Don Rowing and Barry Taylor - what manager who has worked at 'bigger' and/or 'better' clubs would wish to work in that scenario ? Because it would seem to me that personal relationships play as big if not bigger role than professional performance. By that I mean that in my opinion you'd only have to fall out with one of those 3 to bring the whole scenario down. Whereas at other clubs where the manager reports to a board of directors day to day disagreements can be resolved within the board structure. I genuinely do not think any seasoned quality manager would want to work for us given that set up.
I should point out for the overly sensitive that I'm not having a go at Mr Cryne or any other individual, just passing comment on the set up at BFC as I interperet it.

So what is to be done? And that almost goves credence to John Dennis' reluctance to "selling" the club to Cryne before admin.
Passive managment syndrome Wait for applications and then express disappointment at the crock of **** that apply. Go and get who you want, f.u-ck applications off up the arse.
I don't know It's not my money invested in the club.
I'd like a time machine to go back a decade or so and give John Dennis some hindsightedness guidance , but other than that pass.

RE: You're mental get danny wilson and redders in.. some people with passion for the club even glavin on as a coaching role with them **** the welsh Barsteward
I've suggested that... and like Dok says, do you really think it would happen? It's all irrelevant anyway as he's going nowhere...
No I'm not, it's a guess, but ......... ......... anybody who is currently out of a managers job would be barmy NOT to apply
Managers id expect to apply Aidy Boothroyd
Steve Cotterill
John Gregory
Brian Little
Gary McAllister
Ronnie Moore
Glenn Roeder
Lawrie Sanchez
Dennis Wise
Neil Thompson
Would love Paul Jewell but don't think we could attract him.
Thats just the out of work managers, then you have got Mark Robins, Danny Wilson, Darren Moore??
