    The signs were up at 3am this morning. I'm presuming it's for the race, as there was no other reason I could see. I'd been to Silkstone on a call.

    Check with the police.

    No need for that. You have no idea of the person's circumstances, if he's taking an elderly person with mobility issues or what.

    Anybody taking someone elderly or with mobility issues needs to plan well in advance

    roads aren't closed .... just no stopping ..... you can park off the main road in Penistone + walk on TPT or Mortimer Road - 1 hour ...... loads of £10 parking near flouch - profits to Penistone Farming Lando Owners hunting fund ..... was a thread re Reds Fans Pub in Hudds ... approx 10 miles from Peinistone - free parking 10 mins walk to TDF route

    That map shows no indication at all that the road from Dodworth, or even this side of Penistone, is closed.

    Does anyone know if the "closed from Dodworth" post on here was correct or pants?

    My bad. The sign does say closed, but is warning of Woodhead being closed.
