how does paypal work?

    i want to sell some things on ebay, does selling it via paypal put the money straight in your bank account?

    It goes into your PayPal account which you can then use against future purchases.  You can transfer it from your PayPal account back to your bank account but I think Paypal keep a percentage when you do this.  Check the Paypal site for charges.
