I had £10 BTTS then £10 for the opposite in-play.

Do I get my £10 back or what?

    I genuinely have no idea.

Yes you do. Plus your return from pre match bet.

    Don't cash out

Perfect, I re-read the T&C's and realised I was completely missing the obvious!

I never hit cash out, I waited until it had disappeared itself. :)

I didn't, but I bet a lot of people get caught out with that.

you get you in-play stake refunded if it loses, the 1st bet is just a standard wager.
you must put the worst odds pre match to make sure you don't lose, if you put "btts yes" 1st and it was 0-0 or 1-0 then you'd have lost money,
    you got lucky this time,

also putting yes/no bets to guarantee "1 must win" may get you booted

I didn't have the cash to do it this time, but I usually go Under 4.5 before (usually around 1.2) and Over 3.5 in-play (has to be over evens). This usually gives me £10-15 if its a low scoring game), similar if its an high-scoring game, and if it ends up with the right number of goals both win :)

last few times, i've gone over 0.5 goals which are awful odds and then pick the in-play bet whatever i fancy.
you can cash out the in-play bet safely as long as it would also cover the 1st bet if it lost.
early this season on arse v bayern i had over 0.5 then 0-0 ft, cashed out for over 300 then arse won it late so didn't lose 1st bet either.
just never cash out the 1st if in-play has lost
