How dour is it at Oakwell these days?

Family fun day? My arse. My son wanted to go home at half time.

The half time "entertainment" is utter dross. The cross bar challenge is obviously too challenging and should be renamed "aim at the ponty end" and dont get me started on "aim a ball at a shed" FFS!!!

The half time music which included Chesney Hawkes' "one and only" and another by Aqua which must be ten yrs old at least.

Bloody rubbish BFC. Total lack of any imagination.

saw people with kids leaving at half time asking the stewards to open the gate...also saw kids under the east stand playing football with a can before the first half had finished....

He played a system to accomodate Mattis again. We looked slightly better when Howard went into the middle and Reid came on. I cant see why Reid isnt starting games.

What I've never understood is

Barnsley have played certain song's as pre match entertainment for as long as I can remember. It's always been the same music and people have always complained.

I suggested to the club that they get somebody like hmv in tarn to provide the music in return for sponsorship (like huddersfield do). Not a million years later the club started putting announcements out along the lines of "the music sponsored and provided by asda..." yet it was the same music that had been played at oakwell for ten years.

If asda really are supplying the music then go and raid their music section because at the moment its embarrassing and very little effort is put into getting fans through the turnstyles before five to three.

And don't get me started on that "the players are in the tunnel" B*ll*cks. It's normally a good five or ten minutes before they come out.

but was it not "the players are 'just about' in the tunnel". I remember thinking, just about? how can they be just about in the tunnel, either they're in or not.

Not sure which, but whichever it was they certainly weren't in the tunnel!

then there's no wonder we lost like we did. it took them ten minutes to walk down the tunnel.
