Opera isn't everyones cup of tea No doubt that she is a special child and she won't struggle for work, but the show is about entertainment. Personally, I thought George and Signature were more entertaining.
Farryl was streets ahead of the rest and certainly better than the takeaway bloke that finished second. Good luck to her, I think she has a great future.
signature wasn't really much of a talent though well ok, the thin bloke was talented but only as much as all the other jacko impersonators out there, they got through because people were entertained by an overweight asian dancing like michael jackson and it is funny, not talented but funny.
Is it about talent though or merely entertainment? Because anyone that couldn't see that she was the star is blind in my view. And for the record, I'm not exactly a regular at the opera.
She's good, no doubt about that, but she was just the same as the lad that finished 3rd. I think that'll be Cowell's next project, Opera Idol, or summat similar. Only thing I did'nt like about Signature tonight, was they tried, and IMHO, failed to recreate their first audition.
I didn't want Farryl to win. Because its about variety. An opera singer won it last year, and I suspect a lot of the public had the same opinion of it as me in that sense. I'd be very surprised if it didn't lead to some sort of Cowell-inspired Opera contest though. I thought for the sake of variety, Signature or the dog act should have won - but was reasonably happy that George won. Nothing against Farryl or the other opera singer, I just think the show would have been a bit of a flop in the future if opera singers had won the "variety" role two years running.
