Understand Wally Downes is a candidate at Sheffield United along with Michael Appleton and Robert Page. Looks like a three horse race. (Rob Staton- Twitter)

No no Farnham, you misunderstood. I meant how far have Appleton, Downes and Page fallen... ahem... ;)

What about 2001-02, when Bullock (I think) got the winner?

Think it was a draw that season 1-1. Sheron for Barnsley.

Nope, Brian turned it down yesterday. He said it was too prehistoric for even him.

In 1996 they averaged under 13,000 watching them, they fail this season and they'll be back to that.

I was at that game. Think it was before 2000 though. Season after we got relegated from prem maybe?

Stand corrected, Whitey. It was 2001.

It was the year after Hignett and co departed. Wore that lime green 'big thing' shirt. We had Shipperley up top, Parkin at centre half, and I'm sure Bully scored. 2-1 was it? I was quite drunk and it's been a while.

Weird, I've pretty much loved every match there. Never seen us lose!
