I think Danny was just being realistic about the fact that his scoring record was bound to attract interest, we'd probably have struggled to keep him even if we'd have stayed up.

No-one needed to put him in the shop window, clubs will have been fully aware of him.

I think Steele has already said he wants to stay at Barnsley rather than sit on the bench in the Championship, Cranie wouldn't be a huge loss, he's a good player but very replaceable, not sure why there would be any interest in Digby he's not done anything.

You were the one a short while back claiming O'Grady was a poor player and we should get shut. You said the same about Cranie. Then you demanded Danny have a total clear out of all the playing staff and start afresh this Summer. It appears you're getting exactly what you wanted.

 

You're right feller, but I think I excepted Steele and Digby from that.

I do think that 500K for COG is a cracking bit of business, and I'd let Cranie go on a 'free'. But if Lukey or Diggers go, it will show we are building nothing..... except a side for League Two!

 

With Martin Wood getting in the side ahead of Digby I have to wonder whether Danny rates him at all, I know he's had injuries and Flicker claimed he'd had a lobotomy but he has been available and unused for a good portion of the season.
