How long does it take from Manchester to Barnsley?

I'd say about 1 hour, depends on traffic

 

Woodhead Pass is quite a bit shorter John but motorways are probably quicker - pretty much bang on an hour unless you get traffic.

 

Reason I'm asking...

I may be going to Manchester United vs. Portsmouth before Barnsley vs. Chelsea, and I want to be 100% sure there's no chance I could possibly miss the Barnsley match by trying to treat my Dad to a Manchester United match.

 

Tha'll manage it in abart 2 hours

So you're talking around 3pm. Although, I could follow the other 70,000+ and leave 10 minutes early
