I'd say about 1 hour, depends on traffic

Woodhead Pass is quite a bit shorter John but motorways are probably quicker - pretty much bang on an hour unless you get traffic.

    Reason I'm asking...

I may be going to Manchester United vs. Portsmouth before Barnsley vs. Chelsea, and I want to be 100% sure there's no chance I could possibly miss the Barnsley match by trying to treat my Dad to a Manchester United match.

    Kick off is 12:45

So you're talking around 3pm. Although, I could follow the other 70,000+ and leave 10 minutes early :D

major snarl ups on the motorway you'll be ok !</p>

    Good stuff

Looks like a plan that may come together.

I've never done two games in one day!

    Quality!

Well, I think Manchester United vs. Portsmouth would be good as a neutral, and then to see us beat Chelsea would be the perfect end to the day.
