How long has this Denby Dale Festival been going?

Is it an old established event?

 

Started in 1230.

Finished at 17.30.

This is about the 17th year I think.

 

Second year i think

it was a flop last year i've heard

 

Denby dale pie?

Do they still make that enormous pie or was it a one off?

 

If its the "PIE" thing Ive got a plate dated 1928

It's not the Pie Festival

It's some crap pop festival with boy band / girl band cast-offs etc.

The Pie Festival is only once every so many years when they can be arsed.

Last one was for Millenium I think, so they could be due another soon. Mmm Pie.

I di hear a rumour that a BFC v Blackburn game was postponed once, as it clashed with the Pie Festival, sometime in the 90's I think.
