Is his 'short term deal' one month or two? And how much is the clause for him to leave?

Total guess, but I would have thought he's signed until the January transfer window opens. If he's a success we'll offer him another contract, if he's not we'll look for someone else.

Yay so that is Pearson, Wabara, Harris, Smith, Wilkinson, Toney, Hammill, Jackson and Isgrove all gone back or out of contract by January.

Building for the future by signing players for a month. Genius strategy from Barnsley football club

I guessed. I could well be totally wrong. Even if I'm right, I think in this situation it's the right move. Hammill has to prove himself again before anyone will offer him a long contract. Let's just hope he does that here. If he does, the fact that we've given him a second chance might mean he signs a 2 and half year deal with no sell-on clause and we'll have a player capable of playing for a good Championship side in League 1. Everything we've tried has turned to **** recently. That won't last forever. We will start to get some things right. Maybe this is one of them. I really hope so for all concerned.
