They are young and will make mistakes be accepted as a reason for poor performances? We know they can play after the Everton game so I don't think we can use that excuse anymore..... What we can blame Is not getting the players in that everyone can see we need. We waited for Holgate to leave and hoped something would happen once some cash was available but nearly 3 weeks later were no further on and it's all gone quiet on the transfer front. I hope we are going to get some players in but I'm not holding out much hope at this stage. Normally it gets to this stage and we've got most things sorted and are waiting for the loan market to open again after the window shuts but we don't have that option this year were already over the amount we can use so we can't go down that route. We can all see what needs to be done so let's get it done and hope Williams gets fit so we can have a real go at this division this year.....
I agree, i thought as soon as Holgate was gone we'd bring 2-3 players in and then maybe another on DD for that bit of protection but i think we've blown our chances of signing the main targets. Probably expect Simeon Jackson to sign.
Maybe the main targets we wanted aren't avaliable I would like to see Wilkinson sent back and a target man on loan and a permanent signing in as well but I'm not too hopefully it will happen
O'sullivan was our main target and we were told no over two weeks ago.... Smith at Swindon looked set to sign but he's playing for them again now..... We've had plenty of time to compile a list of targets and move on from the ones we have either missed out on or been told they aren't for sale. I'm not sure what's going on at oakwell but I hope it's going to be busy over the next couple of days.
