How many chances did we create yesterday?

I know we hit the bar from a long kick by Colgan and the scramble near the end which hit the post. Could count the couple of headers off target by Mattis from corners. Apart from that i dont even remember their keeper making a save. Davey did say we created chances didnt he? maybe he needs to watch the video again.

    I saw 3 chances

Hayes hit the crossbar in the first half, and for me it was a shocking miss. Lofting the ball over the goalkeeper isn't the easiest of skills but he was miles off his line and Hayes had a lot of the goal to aim at. I would have expected to score from there.

2nd half, there was a good cross from the left (Reid or Eckersley, can't recall which) and the ball came all the way across the face of the goal. Coulson was perfectly positioned but lost track of the ball as the defender in front of him missed it. If he'd gambled on that, it was a tap in.

Then near the end Nardiello had a half chance on the turn, I don't think he could have done more than he did, unfotunately that's the way the cookie crumbles when you're at the bottom.

So I count 1 great chance and 2 half-chances. To say that Davey's comments yesterday disappointed me is an understatement, I only hope that they were media gambits and that the players got a very, very different version of events. Because if they didn't, then our manager needs a trip to Specsavers.

Carlo Nash could've sat with me in the Ponty End

For the amount of work we gave him to do .
I wonder what our tactics will be next Saturday ? Mass defence with the possibility of snatching a goal on the break would be my guess and sticking to the policy even when we concede ( as we will ) .

    Not a one

If we continue our present form,I'll suggest to the QPR goalkeeper that he may as well bring a book to read.

I think he stopped a shot from Howard

or it might have been McCann - near the end from outside the box straight at him - or was I dreaming by then. Mind you we did beat him twice when we hit the woodwork. Question were we at Preston - I had that feeling of watching an away performance. Maybe will turn up at luton and play to win thinking we are at home

The Nardiello chance that hit the post

what was he doing?! Howard was running in on that yet Nardiello was, once again, selfish and tried to take it on himself.

I think we'll be ultra defensive at Luton

And try to snatch something on the break .
