How many children do you think it is 'acceptable' for a woman to have before it becomes 'wrong'? (for whatever reason you feel)
Surely that all depends on how you can support them. If you can provide for them without state support then as many as you want, given that you can actualkly lkook after them and bring them up as decent honest people.
well I was reading this one http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/england/leicestershire/8204824.stm whish is about a woman who gave birth in the street because the hospital told her to walk in (she lives close to the hospital) and this quote - "They should have sent an ambulance, knowing that the more children you have the quicker the labour is." - made me think whether that says anything about her or not and I couldnt make my mind up whether i think 4 is too many or whether its really that bad at all, i mean lots of people have 3 kids so why should one extra be so bad? Then I couldnt decide so decided to post the poll.
You only get simple options in my polls mr rosco. Id be there all day adding all the possible options. One thing I don't understand is people who have considerably more children than bedrooms and that's just from a logistical point of view of where the hell do they all sleep? I reckon you've got too many when you get group discounts at concerts and things
No Specific Number It should depend on things like how they can cope, having the money to support the child, finding the time to spend with the child etc.
It shouldn't if the parents are able to provide for the kids. It should concern us all if we are left to pick up the pieces after Karen Matthews has played 'Happy families' 7 kids to 5 dads... strewth.
It concerns me when I'm paying for them! As long as the family can support them it's personal choice. When the family relies on the me and the rest of the taxpayers to support them 1 is too many.
Man hands on misery to man It deepens like a coastal shelf. Get out as early as you can, And don't have any kids yourself.
This Be The Verse They f*ck you up, your mum and dad. They may not mean to, but they do. They fill you with the faults they had And add some extra, just for you. But they were f*cked up in their turn By fools in old-style hats and coats, Who half the time were soppy-stern And half at one another's throats. Man hands on misery to man. It deepens like a coastal shelf. Get out as early as you can, And don't have any kids yourself. - Philip Larkin
RE: This Be The Verse Apparently not. Although it seems he didn't actually follow his own advice (contrary to what I incorrectly thought).
RE: This Be The Verse Not that I'm aware of, although he did choose to live an indefensible proportion of his life in Hull.
