is there anyone out there who have swapped to us after supporting another club?? or have you all supported them since the day you were born??

come on, be brave, own up.
give us the reasonswhy?

Always Supported Us........... but my brother in law went against his dad who's die hard Leeds and is a long term season ticket holder at Huddersfield Town
Everyone on my fathers side of the family are Barnsley and my older brother is so I had no choice really. Not that I wanted one, always been happy going to oakwell. I grew up in 70's and 80's and Liverpool were the best team in the world then and were always on tv so I grew up with a bit of a soft spot for them.
Me First got interested in football when I was about 5 & just did what I'm sure most kids that age do & decided to support whoever were top of the league which, in my case, was Leeds. A couple of years or so later, I became aware that we had a team & started to look for our results on a Sunday morning too. At that time, my favourite player was Allan Clarke so when he moved to Barnsley, my allegiance switched for good & the rest, as they say, is history.
I am, born in Newcastle so obviously supported them, moved down here when i was 2, then when my step dad took me to a match at 8 ive had a season ticket and supported them, never got to see newcastle play anyway so pointless really
Always been a reds fan First game I ever saw was when me dad brought me to the well in 1970 and hooked did get taken to swillborough a few times when they were in div2 and us in league 3/4 and also helland road when they were in league 1 but it just wasn't the same. Also used to go to Anfield early 80's when a student there - enjoyed the games but never had the same passion. Cant see me ever changing either now
Me too My late Father first took me down for the start of the 1968/69 season and bought me my first season ticket for 1969/70 . I've had one ever since . I must be bloody mad !!
Similar to yours As Leeds were top dogs at the time I liked them, but couldn't get to any games, so when I wanted to start going to games in late '70's it was easy to go to Oakwell, any soft spot I still had for Leeds disappeared about 2 minutes, and after nasty tackle from a Leeds player, into our meeting with them after they'd been relegated
Always Barnsley but did follow Leeds for a while as a second (big league Yorkshire) team when younger and everyone round here was Man u, L/pool etc ie 1969-80, also follow Morecambe of course as a local team, used to be me small club but league status now
Always been Barnsley so has my dad and his dad.
Never had another team, the thought of it makes me feel sick....(puke)

Liverpool til i was about 12. Changed as half of family from tarn and was born there. Felt like the only Tyke in West Yorkshire!
RE: Ive always been a Tarn Fan at heart. But did support Man U when i was younger 9/10ish but thats cos they won everything. Then i learnt the lesson. Did still go to games at Oakwell tho. Andy Payton was a favourite back then!!
Got taken by my dad in `67, never looked back My son was born in 92, took him to his first match the day after he took his first steps. Now his 2 younger brothers are Reds too. (heart) (heart) (heart) (heart)
Me, when i was little lived wi mum in wakey and supported an number off teams, then moved t barnsley and my step dad introduced me t barnley fc theres been no lookin back ever since
When I was a young kid aged about 8 or 9 my mam went to a do where all the Leeds players were signing autographs. It was the Revie era and I was cajoled into supporting them for a short while. Round about the same time Man Utd became the flavour of the month as they got relegated and stormed straight back up. My older cousins were big Man Utd fans so I started supporting them until I was dragged along to Oakwell as a 13 yr old to see the super Reds play Worsop Town. It was my first visit to a professional game and I never looked back since. I must admit though I still have a liking for Man U. If we have been poor and lost it always takes the edge off a bad weekend to see them wallop someone on the Sunday.
