None is my pick, not even close to getting one player in.

Agreed mark, also you don't see the Spanish or Italians queuing to take our players,

Cole would come closest but he wouldn't be close to the 11. Do you know what he's won though? Loads.

I'd forgot about cole, which is strange considering how much he's won.... I was thinking maybe joe hart.

Joe Hart would come closest for me but he's not as good as Buffon and Casillas so IMO no English player would get in.

Buffon had a great tournament for sure but I thought Casillas looked uncharacteristically shaky at times, especially on high balls. Having said that, it's pretty difficult to argue with one goal conceded in six games!

The other stat I heard is that Spain haven't conceded a goal in knockout football since 2006 - Zidane was the last player to achieve it. Phenomenal feat.

I didn't know that. Incredible! And someone on the BBC site tweeted last week that Spain can't defend for toffee. Hmmm!

Very true. They don't get the credit they deserve defensively.

Is Cole better than Lahm? Alba?
    Lescott better than Ramos? Pique?

    Nah, not even close.

    I'd have selected

Perkins, McNulty, Dawson, Golbourne & Dawson had they been picked by Roy Hodgson!:D

    Re: I'd have selected

I think Dawson is what we have been missing for a few years, someone to go out and do some damage, Perkins, not good enough in my opinion,Golbourne I hope will become a decent full back, McNulty is Ok , no more no less. Wiseman is a liability at rightback, his marking is poor and his positional sense is rank bad.

    I've just realised

I mentioned Dawson twice. So not only a drama queen, but bloody daft, too!:D Obviously I meant Collins. Therefore, McNulty & Collins in for Terry and Lescott, Golbourne for Cole, Perkins for Parker and Dawson (just the one!) for Gerrard.
How dare you say I have rose tinted glasses, sir???:D
