And are there any you'd like to learn? I have been learning German for the past year or so and absolutely love it, wish I had the chance to learn while in school but had to make do with French. I've done bits of Spanish and Italian in the past too. Not to mention living in Glasgow for 9 years How about you lot?
Don't think I could learn a new language. Can't even do english properly. I can do good scottish though aye!
I studied French up to and through university, and I can speak a bit of Korean. I can read the Korean alphabet too.
I can speak French fairly well and still do a couple of lessons a week. Happily I'm quite good friends with my current French teacher so I also get to practice a bit of conversation every now and again when we're just hanging out - really useful, as I've always found the conversation the most difficult part to learn in lessons. It's the speed with which you need to respond in a conversation - by the time I've worked out what to say I find that everyone else has already moved on to the next subject! I've got my eye on a Masters in Sweden next year, so currently I'm thinking of doing a bit of Swedish this year to prepare for that (if they let me in!). Always fancied trying to start learning Japanese, but I've had to limit what I'm trying to do over the next year because I've just got a huge amount on (working full time at the same time as trying to finish my undergrad... and learn French and Swedish, of course). Trying to struggle with Japanese would probably push me over the edge...
Recieved an A grade for GCSE Spanish a long time ago, and can barely remember anything. Does that count?
I can speak Russian fluently but when I write it I probably look like a Russian version of Hemsworth Tyke (though predictive text helps a lot these days!0
Can speak Polish as good as I can English. As got Polish immediate family. Can also carry a conversation in Russian, Serb and Croat
I've got Italian 'A' level grade A, so upper-intermediate level. I've done bits of other European languages but couldn't hold a conversation in any of them.
