Don't get that argument. Every club that's ever reached the latter stages of a cup or play-offs somehow finds thousands more supporters for the big games. It's what happens. Should we do the unthinkable and actually get to Cardiff, would you rather it be packed to the rafters with tarn fans, or just the few thousand diehards and acres of empty seats? If just one of the 'new fans' decides to come again, or even buy a ST, then job's a good 'un. [IMG]

Whats wrong with new fans coming?? I used to watch barnsley about 10 times or so a season until we got to the premiership when I got a season ticket. I have had one ever since and go to watch what away games I can. Hopefully there is as much part time fans as possible so we can convert them into full time fans next season.

I dont think thats the problem. I think its people who regularly go to away games, and went to huddersfield in the league. But then they cant get a ticket for this one, because people who never go away get the tickets.

My away ticket is already waiting for me, without even queuing, thank god. Will be sat in the directors box again, but rather be in with the 4'000 making some noise

Will that really be happening, though? How many season ticket holders have we got?? I would imagine almost all of them will be taking their permitted one away ticket - that doesn't really leave many for 'new fans' to snap up.

So you think it should be based on away ticket stubs?? What a load of crap.
So someone who has been to say 15 away matches and a handful of home games should be in front of someone who has been to every home game and only a handful of away matches?

    And rightly so.

Wonder what the average attendance in the 10 years prior to promotion was, compared with the average in the last 10 years. Success creates larger fan base.

    Stats please?

I dont think they could have done anything else under the short timescales. And whatever is suggested people will always moan. However, as a season ticket holder who did go to the huddersfield league game, if I dont get a ticket for monday I will be rather pissed off. And I know there are season ticket holders who have been to many more away games than me, and think they would have every right to be pissed off as well.

It dunt matter! I'm a season ticket holder and can't make the game onn thursday but I'd rather someone was there filling my seat and making noise.
It'll make for a better atmosphere

Why necessarily "new fans" - there will be many people who have only gone to a handful of games this season for various reasons, however when it comes to a game like this all those people will want to attend. If you have a season ticket you are guaranteed your ticket which effectively is showing loyalty to the regular supporters.

What is this "hard work" that you speak of people doing?

Well surely people who haven't been to an away game this season should get first chance - the others have already had their turn! :pff

everyone has as much right to see the game as anyone else.

And I've not been to an away game for a couple of seasons and I'll still be pissed off!

I don't class it as hard work!

Sat on a train drinking, followed by a pub with food and more beer, followed by football game, followed by another train home and a load more beer.

Thats what I call a brilliant day out, and no hard work to be seen. Well not until I get home and our lass has a go at me for boozing.
