It would be great if the 20,000 plus who made the trip to cardiff attend, this would put more cash/dosh in the kitty surley for Mr Ritchie to spend come on show you support for your team.

    BARNSLEY NEEDS YOU(england)

With the nature of the teams in the Championship,

I think we can double our average crowd next season.

If you have a decent season then there's no reason why not, but there'll be a lot of the people that may not have been to Oakwell much/at all in the past that will have enjoyed the experience over the weekend enough to come back again.

RE: With the nature of the teams in the Championship,

do you realise that would mean 18000 each home game?
i think 12000 is more realistic.
good football and success will bring the crowds.

    I reckon

    that with:-

sunderland, leeds & fowls filling the north stand

Burnley, Wolves, Preston, Derby, Hull, Stoke, Leicester, Brum, WBA & possibly Naarich all bringing a very good following

I would not be surprised if our average crowd went up to 16k or more, especially if we can make some decent close season acquisitions and start well.

So in essence, if 1/2 of those at cardiff turn out for home games, the club should be looking financially on an even keel.

Having said that I think its apparant how important maintaining championship status really is..potentially 6000 fans x 22 games x 18 quid is 2.4 million fine english pounds additional income.

see it's easy for me living 10 mins away. Travelling the distance you do deserves respect

If you get to 16 games or so

then a ST is still good value and less bother than getting matchday tickets.

So am I ... and its economic madness

This season I managed 4 home games - I did manage 7 away games and of course Cardiff

I am thinking if I got an ST I might make it up for a few more home games - say 10 tops so still doesnt make sense but I am considering it. Fortunately I cant buy one yet otherwise I would have - hopefully I will have calmed down by the time next seasons tickets go on sale

I live just near Windsor and work shifts. Still managed to get in about 15 games these past few seasons. Will be aiming for about that again this season.

Look on the bright side Arnside

Preston and Burnley AGAIN next season. Stoke, Brum, WBA, Leeds, Sunderland... All closer than home games.
