Used to go to matches with a group of friends, and how many are still going? Istarted going with a gang of five mates this number rose to about ten not everyone went to every game but over the years this has dwindled until now i go on my own . I wonder how many more regulars have fallen by the wayside and found other things to do.

I used to go with my dad and grandad, now two of my mates have season tickets with me. Converted from other clubs.

I started going with my dad

then with mates from school, after we left we still went to games, some of us still go, but others got fed up and started to go elsewhere.
I could never go to watch another club, but I am getting to the point where its becoming a ballache to go and watch Barnsley, there is plenty of other things out there to spend my cash on, ones that will actually be helpful and glad to keep me happy.

My dad took me to my first Barnsley game in the early 70's and I've been a Red ever since.
I used to go with a group of mates from school and we would stand in the old Brewery stand across the corner from the Spion Kop.
Then at half time we would cross over into the Ponty End. It was easy to jump over the wall in those days.
Once we all left school we lost touch, some moved away and unfortunately some passed away.
I'm sure that there are a couple of my old mates still visiting Oakwell on a regular basis because I believe I have spotted them from time to time.

I started going in the early 70's with a mate and his dad. As I got older I went with different groups of mates which went on for 20 or so years, before dropping in numbers to just a couple of us.
Now I still go with the same mate and my young son.

11 now only 2 of us. We started going two seasons before Premiership, and they tailed off one by one after Bassett left.

My Dad started taking me when I was about 6, I was never too keen on the travel but I got hooked quite quickly. Unfortunately he's not well enough to go anymore really, so it was just me for a long time
