How many times did we fluff a chance and then they were in our box within seconds?

Luckily we only got punished once - Williams had a chance to score but a few seconds later they were in our box and scored a lucky goal.

Plenty of other times though they were up there like lightning and our defenders just could not cope with their speed. Now that is down to two things - either their forwards were very fast or our defenders were very slow.

My vote goes for the latter. Too ponderous, too slow to react and not strong enough when needed.

I'll write more, probably tomorrow, but that was the main feature of the match today for me. Alfie Mawson, especially, must play with treacle on the soles of his boots but he was not the only one today.

Fair result in the end. We'll win the second leg, no problem :)
