How much do you think Davey has been given to spend?

I reckon around 1.5 million max. Also, does anyone know what Liverpool's valuation of Hammill is? Perhaps Davey is looking to spend the majority of his budget on him? Could that be a reason he didn't want to splash 500k on Adam?

    Thoughts?

Seeing as Liverpool are supposedly desperate to clear their wage bill, and let another promising youngster (whose name escapes me) go to Forest for a reported 150k, I can't imagine they'll be asking too much for Hammill.

Yeah, you're thinking of Paul Anderson.

250,000 he cost Forest, and I'd put him on par with Hammill. He tore us to bits at the City Ground.

Don't think davey has 1.5 million or we would have signed someone by now not messing about like this, davey would have flashed cash. Look at Notts Forest they spent big n signed people heard from a mate they are looking to sign dan shittu today.

Makes you wonder if Cryne's keeping the purse shut to see if Davey can make a decent start with what he's got. If not & he's sacked he'll be able to attract someone decent easier if there's money to spend.

    Don't fancy us at all Saturday, hope i'm wrong but look at where we are;

    1. Steele - Decent keeper & a good move keeping him & letting ageing Muller go, cover an unknown quantity.
    2. Hassell - Decent pro and great club man but him being player of year shows how weak we are, no cover.
    3. Kosluk - A right back trying to do a decent job on the left, cover a kid who looks slow & El Alamein.
    4. Moore - Bin a good un but his legs could go at any time, no cover.
    5. Foster - Genuine Championship player, no cover.
    6. Colace - Decent closer down and retains ball well but no threat whatsoever and no real pace. No cover.
    7. Campbell Ryce - Championship class WINGER. Cover El Alamein oh dear.
    8. Anderson - Class player on his day but hot head will miss games so cover essential. No Cover. (& don't say Butterfield)
    9. Odejayi - Here we go again, we all want him to suceed but he won't.
    10. Macken - Will huff & puff and produce very little and will be a little slower than last season.
    11. Deveney - Will dance & mince about and produce for about half an hour all season. No cover.
    12. Hume - Wing & prayer job, will he be the same, how long before he's fully fit, here's hoping.
    13. Bogdanavic - Will be a decent player to bring on if we need a goal late on, can't see him leading the line all season as he's not strong enough when we're under the cosh.
250-1 Bar , anyone else in the current squad coming through to be a genuine Championship player this season.
