Looks like he is the next one out the door.

Anything less than £2million and the club has been dry loved.

Considering what was the rumored fee for Butterfield, I reckon Stonesy is worth at least £3 million. Hope he stays and develops here, he's still a rough diamond.

    Would say anything >£2M.

This would be a good bit of business for BFC......when it happens, not if !!!!

But the lad is young, plenty of raw potential, on a longer contract..............we may get more tahn £2M ?

Matthew Lowton went for £3m with less experience at the level Stones is playing at so that should be bare minimum.

For once we're not.being held to ransom so no excuses if we dont't get a good price.

    He's probably worth around 2 million, so I bet we'll get 500.000.

£2 million we'll get, broken down into

    £300k when he signs
£200k when he captains Wigan in the Champions League final
£500k when he breaks 100 England appearances
£500k when he finds a house over £500k in Wigan
£500k when Wigan host their first ever football game on the moon.

Don's **** hot with these deals.

I will be seriously pissed off if we let him go for less than 5 million! This kid really is the part and is only going to get better. He will be a great centre back and can play full back/wing back!

No need to be forced into a sell with a 3 year deal. We want 4 million up front minimum plus lots of 'realistic' add ons including a big sell on fee 25-50%

We will never get through the bad times if we sell the best players on the cheap!!

Absolute zero chance of anything near £5 million.

2 Million upfront + 50% of next transfer or 4 Million over 24 months + 25% of next transfer

We need to sell to keep the books balanced.

£2 million at his age considering games he's played etc would be reasonable. With clauses etc.

Thing is we need all the money up front, hardly any transfers are done that way now.

It would be a bad decision for John Stones to leave Barnsley in my opinion. He is flourishing as a player because he has a stable home life, a stable professional environment - even with the change in management he has Bobby and his pals from the academy around him - and he can play his football at a reasonable level while he grows and develops. He is not grown up enough to lose all that, another two seasons at Oakwell and he will be able to bypass the Wigans and go directly to a big club.

Should be 3 million up front, a decent sell on, X amount after so many games and X amount if he becomes capped for England.

£3m plus add ons would be the going rate given what lowton went for.
