How much influence should a club have over what you do when on holiday?

Just seen this on the BBC website

Someone tweeted pics of Aston Villa's Jack Grealish allegedy drunk whilst he was on holiday in Tenerrife

    http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/33136816

"The club is aware of the photographs of Jack Grealish currently circulating," said a club statement.
"We will be meeting with the player but any action will remain an internal matter."

I have no idea if he really was drunk and to be honest I dont care
Not sure that photo proves anything

He is on his summer break as long as when he reports back for training he is in reasonable shape and not "Jennings fit" what concern is it of the club. As long as he hasnt broken any laws?

Id guess that most 19 year old lads who go on their jollies with their mates will have a few too many drinks
    its what teenagers do

surely this is a bit over the top

If it was during the season I could see the point

You can't tell if it's him or not.

Maybe the club will just have an 'advisory' chat with him about levels of behaviour expected of club employees and the health risks of binge drinking.

It could depend on the small print of his contract. It could be argued that he is putting the club into disrepute...

I would imagine all players are given a summer training regime and will be required to hit certain fitness targets when they return to pre-season training. If they fail to meet those targets then questions about diet, exercise and lifestyle will be asked, and rightly so, they're professional sportsmen, but if they meet the required fitness level or exceed it, then I don't see how it's the club's business as to whether or not the player had a few bevies while away on his jollies, so long as he remained within the law. He has a duty to the club to remain physically fit and healthy, but not to completely abstain from alcohol during the summer if it does not affect his fitness.
