how quiet is the activity on ere of late??

dunno if its down to the board change, but i had a browse early afternoon. ive just got back in and had another browse, and theres been about 10 posts.. its getting as inactive as TykesMad.
am i alone in thinking like this?
i could leave the old board for 4 hours, and by the time i came back, there would be a full page of new threads etc.
but, like i said, maybe its just me, and being off work has sumat to do with it..?..?

Bloody crazy on here now, if you dare to say anything that is not the same as Hill or the club, within mins a new member comes on having a dig at the poster. I am finding it very strange in the least.
Whitey you are correct when you say it is like Tykes Mad, I think its because the majority on there are about 15.
Some are good posters, like Acido, Wardy , Animallittle etc, but most of them are numpties. It is becoming like that on here too.

Quality of the posters as gone down hill since the change over, no laughs, no buzz, and no really outstanding posters like the ones what frequented the other site, mind other one was flopping specially in the last 18 months or so....

Still there's plenty of Football talk which I suppose is what the sites about so really there should be no complaints??....Still think it needs some laughs and a few buzzy folk to keep us entertained, and get the others from the other site on board....

when i first started on ere 10 years ago it was a whole different beast.. u had to type ur name in on every post i seem to remember. i used to see a fair amount of the regulars away from the board too. it was less about the game or the club, and more about the ppl on it. and far funnier.. u could have a good ol giggle.. its far too serious now.
and the new users dont get the regulars humor, and it kinda dilutes it.. i miss taximan, madmick, longley, shefftyke and many more.. thats why i stopped in the Hart/Ritchie era.. i sensed the sideways step toward the GENERIC forum style of other clubs.. such as TM now.
i kept peeking ere and there but didnt return properly til start of this year.. and i dont even know why tbh. i hanker for the old bbs.. pass me the tissues, and the violin..

Tell you what Whitey, this international break doesn't help. We have different views on the Shakespearean drama that is playing out at Oakwell at the moment, but I feel we're all eager to see what the next instalment will bring - without a fekkin' two week break!

You're right Whitey, it does feel like posts hang around for ages, even the ones with very few or no replies that disappeared to page 2 and beyond in no time on the old BBS. There doesn't seem to be the same banter either but reckon that could be just people getting used to this new board. I hope so cause I do miss the old board.

 

glad its not just me mate.. am sure it will pick up once we play Leicester. or maybe before, perhaps the next time Hilly opens his mouth.. ive never known a managers words analysed so much!
