Have we got to Friday with the same manager in place after about 300 straight defeats, boos emanating from the stands, people leaving the stadium in consecutive weeks well before the half way point of the second half and players seemingly destroying the boss in the press. I have never ever known it. I've not even commented that we'd be stone cold bottom if Derby didn't have their points deduction.
The strange thing is, I thought he made an encouraging start. Decent looking (at the time) result at Cardiff. A win against Coventry and excellent performance at QPR either side of the obligatory home defeat to Luton. But the wheels seemed to fall off at Blackpool, which was the first game where he had some options available.
I thought he performed absolutely ***** at the first home game. Had the players messing around at the back and refused to change it when it wasn't working.
Will be stone cold bottom tomorrow anyways and that’s Derby having 12 points knocked off. Comical club.
But at the time, I was happy to win a game without playing well. Particularly against a team that took 4 points off us last season, so it was encouraging. Things seemed to regress from the moment Birmingham equalised against us just before the first international break, and the wheels completely fell off by the time we got to Blackpool.
From what I have read in Chronicle this morning the ceo is as bad if not worse than schopp. They have no idea absolutely useless
'Hope... is always quite dangerous' Maybe so Khaled, but better to be overachieving and hopeful of better things, than for the fanbase to plummet into apathy or abject misery in as little as three months.
