    I had that when I worked down south as well

    There was a guy at work from Liverpool and somebody just lumped us both in with having "northern accents" saying we sounded the same!

    Within one day of starting my new job I was imaginatively nicknamed 'Whippet'. Suprisingly, it has stuck and I've been called it ever since.

    They mean well....honest.
