Just got back from the ASDA, where, if you're a real ale fan, you'll know they have quite a good selection of beers.

Apart from the single bottles, they also do 'box sets', with 4 bottles in. One of these boxes, is called 'the Badger sett' - made by Badger. This costs 6.70 for 4 bottles.

Aside from that - you can get 6 bottles of any beer in the real ale section, for 8 quid.

Now, I noticed that the Badger sett had 3 bottles in that I'd never tried before, so I gently and neatly opened the packaging, and removed the three bottles. I too another 3 from the assorted collection, and voila - 6 bottles for 8 quid and small, but welcome saving...or so I thought.

Upon paying for the beers, they came to a total price of 5.63! I was bewildered, hoping and praying that they wouldn't pull me up for putting the boxed beers in with the normal, assorted ones and here I was saving around 4/5 quid (when you think that for the Badger Sett box, it's 6.70!

So, yeah - get down to ASDA and pull one over them :)

I once got one over on B&Q a couple of years back buying loft insulation.

The rolls on the pallet were wrapped in packs of 3, but they sell them in singles. Think your suppose to get split the packs yourself.

Unknowingly, I placed 3 rolls (one pack) into the trolly and went to pay. The checkout person scanned the roll on the end and the price rang up for what 1 roll should cost (chinny)

Guess who went back the day after for another 6 or rather 2 rolls. (hidebehindsofa)

Speaking of beer - Stella's on offer at the moment from Tesco's - Two trays of 20 * 440ml for £19.97

Order online and add 4 trays to your basket, this shows in your basket as being the regular price. ie. £19.97 for one. So the total bill shows up as being just under £80. Add something else to your basket to take it over £80 (Jaffa Cakes @ 43p :D ) and use the £8 off £80 spend code of 'XX-7RND' - This effectivly gives you 80 cans equivelent to 61pints for £32 (+ delivery cost).

Unfortunatly you have to add the delivery cost, but if your going to order other stuff, it ain't too bad.

The final bill will show as £80+ but they only charge your card £32+ (+delivery)

Max per customer is 6 trays.

    Got a delivery 10am tomorrow (nodding2fingers)
