Big big miss that lad………Russell had a mare tonight imo, we seem way slower when he plays at times. I don’t condone booing of our own players but we upped the ante when he went off

Every game we are creating loads of chances. The finishing is terrible.
Whether its Russell or Connell starting we are missing numerous sitters. Cost us at Bolton snd again tonight just there 4 points dropped.

If we had a second striker who had scored 10 or more we would be challenging for top spot. I'm sure it was expected that either Watters or Cosgrove would be that player. Hopefully there's still time for them to come good.

Mads came good. MDG has come good. I'm a big believer in the redemption arc. And I always think players can come good.

McAtee is an odd one. Great player. Fantastic attitude. Goal scoring record is pretty poor though. A scorer of great goals rather than a great goal scorer.

We desperately need someone to step up whoever that is as we over rely on Cole

Said it a couple of months ago (then made me look a little silly due to him getting about 7 in 7, even though a lot of those were beauties), and I stand by it, when he has more than a second or two to think he fluffs his chances a lot - when it's first time or immediate pressure, he does very well. Fantastic player though and really hope somehow we keep him! Obviously before anyone shouts me down I'm not slagging him off, and obviously he doesn't always miss etc etc.

There was a debate in the last couple of days whom we miss more, I honestly can't believe it's anyone other than Connell. Long ball after long ball today, bypassing the midfield, no fluidity in the middle. Big loss for us, glad it's only 1 game!

after that miss by Cosgrove tonight ,I wouldn’t hold my breath.
It would be great if they did come good andI’d love to be proven wrong but I currently have zero confidence in either of them.

Agree, although I thought it was more than just our finishing. Our quality in and around their box was poor.

On the upside, I thought O'Keeffe was good tonight. He was positive and direct, went at the full back and beat him multiple times. I know the penalty came about as a result of one of his long throws but for me he doesn't offer much else.

Nailed it out of the park, Bolton, Orient and Shrewsbury 54 shots 19 on target 4 goals some of those chances Phillips at Bolton, Cosgrove free header sat and 6 yards out tonight not that difficult, had we been clinical could easily have been 9 points

After the Oulare Iseka debacle, it really does sting that we’ve followed them up almost immediately, with Cosgrove & Watters. They’re both absolutely awful.

We need to tell Cosgrove he is playing for Aberdeen top scorer for them one season with 17 goals just needs to believe and not pressure himself and hit the target the art of putting your laces through the ball seems to be dying out

Mads was 21 when he joined us and came good over a couple of seasons, Mael is 24, had an horrendous debut but been very good since whilst Cosgrove is 27 and if he is a professional footballer then I’m a lion tamer

I know the club had off the field issues with Iseka which we can only speculate about but based purely on footballing ability he was light years in front of both Watters and Cosgrove.

Iseka was political and financial. No way he couldn't get in this side. Even last season.

Watched the highlights this morning and for me yet again Williams is our weakest link, another goal off the righthand side, and Williams running around like a headless chicken.

Whilst it's frustrating to give away another early goal and again, spend the entire game chasing the game, for me last night could be attributed simply down to poor finishing.

I didn't have issue with the team selection, I didn't have issue with the substitutions (I'd have maybe had Cotter on earlier for his long throw), and whilst it was poor defending again for another goal, that was probably the only instance of really poor defending we showed all night.

The fact is, we had 21 shots and only 4 were on target.

Harsh to put Cosgrove in the Oulare / Iseka bracket. He’s a free transfer on a 2 year deal. Watters however, paid a fee and gave him a 3 year + 1 year option contract. Just shows that sometimes it’s better to trust what you see with your own eyes over what data tells you
