Thought you had to have played a certain amount of matches for your country?

Can't remember him turning out for Brazil recently?

Correct - it's why Man Utd send some of their young foreigners such as Dong Fangzho over to Belgium.

    Allen,

Don't have the same work permit regulations in Europe / Belgium?

    TIA,

Apparently in Belgium you can get citizenship after 3 years, whereas in England it is for 5. But for some reason in Belgium they can actually play without a permit, whereas here you cant. I dont understand it fully.

Why would he have a Spanish passport?

He's been playing in Europe (Holland and Belgium) for 7 years so I guess it's from that he'll be ok

If he has Belgian citizenship surely he won't need a work permit?
