England are still likely to lose this game but saying there isnt fight in this team got to be up there with the biggest BS i've heard/read in 22 years.

By the way, having read my so-called "rant" I stand by every word - yesterday was abysmal by England. No other word for it. I am entitled to my opinion.

Also, I try not "score points" with other posters on here. I was very tempted to say something when "one of the world's best batsman" threw his wicket away again yesterday, but I didn't. Point taken?

They did Calgary. that would have been right. Bell Root KP all got out to shots they maybe shouldn't have played.

England were abject, particularly in the field, yesterday Phil, CT was quite right in what she said. I know you love your quotes from ex pro's so listen to Ian Botham, David Gower and Geoff Boycott for a review of our performance yesterday.

What does Ian Botham know about cricket?

He hasn't played for twenty years.

    We were pathetic.

Were rubbish in the home series too when if if not for the weather it could have been different.

Where signs in England that our batting was shocking looking at the scores we got.

Cook needs to think more about batting as his stats have dropped to Prior's level since becoming captain.

Why do we always place our best batter as captain, it's clear Cook was not the motivating sort.

we were absolutely mullered by an average Australian team that declared their second innings or it would have been an even bigger thrashing!
They have spilled catches right left and centre and chucked wickets away to stupid shots yet again In the second inning only 2 players passed 50!!
Can only assume that this was a 'fishing trip' by Hemsworth

Cook has been poor, but Cook was fantastic in India. Proper captain's performance on two occasions.

We've just hit that transitional year, which isn't nice, but Cook will come good again. With the likes of Root and Stokes, and a potential four years out of Carberry, it's just pace bowling I worry about.

We were awful this Ashes, but your comparison with Prior is a bit harsh - mainly on Prior, as up until the New Zealand series he was one of the best wicket keeper batsmen in the game. Another who was awesome in India.

    Hemsworth - don't talk wet.

Ben Stokes put up a fight, but who else supported him? Abject, cowardly, abysml - just three words to describe the last three weeks of cricket from England.

I don't follow cricket, but even I know England have been battered. Are you watching in a parallel universe where they and Man U are still good?

He's watching in Maryland. And I don't mean the US state. The only state here is what goes on in Mary's head. A proper mess.

Would love to see how long Sir Geeffrey could bet against the likes of Johnson Siddle n Lyon.
